a new beginning…. sheer tautology. heh. goes to show my prowess (or rather the lack of) with regards to engrish.

after all these gruelling years, i’ve quite outgrown my ‘childish’ tendencies towards dark backgrounds and ‘hip’ looking images. i spent an entire weekend cringing over what i’d written for the past year. it’s shocking how infantile and girlish some of my entries are. ewwwww… makes me want to delete all my entries and bury my head in the sandbox. yet i printed out all those entries and bound the entire ‘book’. i’ve got to accept that these are the things i’ve written and these are the parts of me that i’ve decided to show the world, and i’ve got to live with that.

blogging is good. it trains a person to write with responsibility (but that’s only if that person had a functioning brain to begin with) and to take responsibility for the consequences of his words. blogging is also powerful, it’s now even replaced email in certain instances as a tool to keep up with a friends. though i’m not saying that’s necessarily a good thing.

in response to complaints from a certain someone, you’ll see on the sidebar that i’ve decided to categorise my bloggings such that people don’t have to plow through a whole chunk of clueless philosophy/rantings (wrt ayn rand) in order to get to the gossips/hot stuff.

now on to the gossips…
apparently, some clueless, idiotic gossiper with fake ‘facts’ decided to tell my tutor (fr O&G) that i’ve got a french boyfriend. yay to that. and luckily, my tutor was also kay-poh and decided to ask my dear equally-gossipy groupmate. thankfully, my groupmate gets the facts right before he gossips.

an excerpt from their conversation:
gossipy dr: eh, she’s quite happening rite? i heard she got FRENCH bf!
gossipy dr: i tot she quite si wen type?
gossipy grpmate: …
gossipy grpmate: who told u so?
gossipy dr: (with his typical secretive smug smile…)

i think if i meet gossipy dr, i shall ask him who told him that. cuz afterall, i need to put things right. i shudder to think of that… i wonder how many other pple think i have a french bf now… maybe it’s a sign to start looking for one. heh.

PS: to those who’re keen to use blogsome, but do not want to use the templates they’ve provided and wish to use wordpress themes/styles instead, i’ve sort of found 2 ways to get around the problem. lemme know if you’re interested.
