movie effects / entertainment value (for those who have not read the book): 4 / 5
it will rate lower for those who’ve read the book before.

*** spoilers ahead! *** (dun read liao then say i neva warn u)

the most ‘memorable’ scenes in terms of cinematographia were…
the opening presentation by the drumstrang students… hehe… v military, but it was very ‘grand’ sort of… also the scene of that nasty hungarian horntail and its spiky tail and fiery temper during the first task!

the oddities…
1. the mad-eyed moody that i imagined from the book should be lean, mean, gaunt but still have a kindly kind of interior… but this mad-eyed moody is kinda rotound? is that the side effect of retirement? an auror gone to waste? heh heh…

2. the characteristic smacking of the lips and the sticking out of the tongue from one side of the mouth of barty crouch junior is really remniscent of tardive dyskinesia… hehe maybe he’s kinda psychotic (from the book he sounded psychotic! schiz ah! EPS effects!)

3. the really scary outburst of anger from dumbledore when he questioned harry as to whether he’d put his name into the goblet of fire.

4. krum in the book kind of slouches, is a grouch and walks with an uneven kind of flat-footed gait. but this krum here is like absolutely droolsome! WHERE DID THEY UNEARTH THIS BULGARIAN ACTOR? hehehe… and he’s called stanislav. in short, it’s stan. heheh… HEEHEEHEE… just imagine pple… our stan…. vs that stan. :D

come let’s all drool together (hehe… ok i know u all like cedric diggory, but i dun really… i think he has a forgettable face… unlike this one… this one’s got ‘animal magnetism’ heh… hahaha)

finally, i think all the actors have grown up wonderfully well… (except for rupert grint aka ron weasley)… but don’t worry ron, i think u’re just a late bloomer… u get hermione in the end anyway… hehe…

6. snape’s hair looks a bit less oily this movie.

9. i dun like cho chang. she’s too ABC.
