my mum is a very creative cook.
this definitely looks nicer than it tastes! but i’m so used to this flavour of sushi… so homely….

i was traipsing home around 4pm yesterday in a foul mood, when i had to pause under the scorching sun at the traffic junction. as i was squinting at the inviting shade at the other side of the road, i caught sight of this tuft of olive green grass entirely -surrounded- by concrete.
if i wasn’t wrong, just a few weeks ago, it had been an entire patch of grass, albeit looking kind of bald because of all these kids and adults who behave like kids who’d been trampling on the nice green grass… turning them into patchy green grass with barren-looking red soil. :/ hate these pple who walk on nice grass and kill them all!
i thought this patch of grass was really unique. heh. it looked so tall and brave in a desert of cement. this looked far more encouraging than a balding grassy patch.
and then i wondered, why didn’t the banglaboys cement THAT as well. it’s almost comic, a valiant attempt of nature vs man.
which kinda reminded me… here we are paying people to plant wild grass, while these people who’re being paid to plant grass don’t even have enough money to buy proper food at home. -ironic rite?- makes me feel so frivolous!
back to this encouraging lil’ patch of grass.
life’s full possibilities… life’s full of precious things… and life’s full of intriguing things, if we’d only allow ourselves to really SEE.
