my mum’s latest creation!!! VERY NICE! :D
chicken and portobello mushroom with calamari on the side
ingredients:
basmati rice
wild rice
chicken breast boiled and diced
portobello mushroom (if cannot get, use fresh buttons)
red/yellow peppers diced
garlic diced and lightly browned
onion sliced and lightly browned
cumin
saffron (can anyone tell me where to get good saffron in sg?)
pepper seeds
parsley chopped for garnishing
put everything into a wok and stir fry (sort of), then put into the rice cooker (you can choose to cook in the paella pan too) haha… i dunno all the little things in between but that’s just about the rough idea.

Saffron - indian shops sell them cheap as some sort of powder (may be adulterated), but the really good stuff’s the stamens themselves. Cold Storage has them at about $10 a bottle, which lasts indefinitely. You only need a pinch of stamens, about 6-10 pieces, for each family-sized dish.
