even if i like psychiatry, i would never go into child psychiatry!!! over my dead body! HAHAHA… (one of the times i actually sound like EW, wenky… and all those child-haters out there heh…) two ADHDs ‘hyperactive kids’ just tore in and out of the clinic like tornados… though they weren’t all that ‘hyper’ today, say ‘yay’ to feeding them Ritalin… which is actually something like Ecstasy… hehe… they managed to create a lot of ENERGY all around them. poor kids… their teachers don’t seem to be able to understand that they just have some attention problems and just need a bit more time to do their work, those kids are shunned and scolded by their teachers for being ‘naughty’. even after the dr called to inform the school, the situation remained unchanged. the teachers were so defensive! (GAR!!! i was so irritated by the school’s attitude)…
there was a good variety of cases today, such as eating disorders… (i think those are one of the hardest to treat! they are so prone to relapse… and it’s such a ‘hapless’ problem, it’s like they lost control over food… either they can’t stop eating, or they can’t start eating. sigh. i blame
1. the media, and all the celebs who continue to advertise for slimming companies and pills… even when they are already unhealthily thin
2. the parents, some parents just exert too much ‘control’ over their kids… don’t let the kids express themselves… they do what they think is the ‘best’ for the kid, not taking into consideration their feelings. i actually identified with one of the children there today… i felt that everyone else was clearer abt the gal’s situation than her mother. pity…
there was an odd case of egodystonic (when you’re not comfy being homo) homosexualism + + + a lot of problems. sigh! kids only, have to be burdened with such a load! you know what, i’d rather have a PHYSICAL illness than a MENTAL disorder!!! i dun want my mind to be messed up! *nods* apparently the docs agree too. *nods nods*
