haiz, am feeling very ‘victimised’ rite now… and guess who the agressor is?

all the horrible little soldiers aka mast cells staging a coup in my body… :(

allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis… maybe even allergic eczema… so itchy all over!!!

if i might add, my oropharynx, tongue and interior of my ears itch like crazy too!

allergic oropharyngitis, allergic glossitis and allergis ehm… otitis???

-_-

i just remembered something super crappy that i think i shall blog here… for the enjoyment of others, and for them to marvel at the ‘ingenuity’ of the creator of this hypothesis…

explanation for fasciculations in hypothyroidism…

In paediatrics, the most common cause of hypothyroidism is a lingual thyroid. in a lingual thyroid, any hormones secreted pool in the subglossal venous plexus, leading to localised ‘hyperthyroidism’, this leads to tremors also called fasciculations of the tongue. to demonstrate this sign, ask the patient to stick out his tongue, then place a small piece of paper (plastic might be preferable) on the tip of the tongue to accentuate the tremors.

hahaha… so crappy… even the person who came up with this theory is all confused. :S hyper? hypo? hyper? lingual?

very convincing… not.
