alarm barely starts to ring… and LQ bolts up in bed, frantically scrambling for the phone to shut it off so it won’t wake up EVERYONE else…

LQ gathers her stuff and makes off for the bathroom…

SL usually found tossing about in bed around the time the alarm goes off, i think he’s not a very heavy sleeper, while LL remains like a comatose log. heh.

20min later, LQ’s done… she goes over to SL’s bed and tugs the bedcovers three times…

‘Your turn…’

then she goes put on a battery of skin stuff and make up and sort out her hair…

20min later, SL’s done… and now here’s where the challenge starts…

LQ: GL, your turn, wake up leh… you bathing or not?

GL: no… i just change…

LQ: ok, quick go change…

GL: yes mam deadpan expression and monotonous voice…

LQ: (i think i’ve just acquired a philipino/indonesian maid)

LQ: oio, LL, get up get up get up and go and bathe!!! has to make a lot of noise to get LL up and going…

Then we wait and we wait and wait some more…

LQ: LL, are you done yet? we going to eat breakfast liao leh…

LL: Ok mum, i’m almost done! you all go first k!

TOP 10 TURN ON-s (no particular order)

1. Guys who are stable and dependent.

2. Guys who smell nice. (and not necessarily the cologne kind of smell ok) YAY! hehehe… so comfortable wat…

3. Guys who HAVE interests apart from the usual work, school, coffee, music, movies, sports, gym…

4. A guy who really listens, and asks appropriate questions, or at least is patient enough to sit through it? That’s one god-send manz…

5. **very important** one who cares… like tells me to be careful of a hidden step somewhere (it’s crucial for me cuz i walk around like i’m blind), who asks me if i’m feeling better when i’m ill, who does all the small little things to show that he thinks of me.

6. If they look hot! hahaha… Hot for my definition lah, and my definition isn’t all the usual kind of HOT!

7. Guys who are confident (but not overly so).

8. That certain sheepish kind of look… Seriously, i don’t expect a guy to be all that guy ALL the time… sometimes i want to be the guy ok.

9. Knowlegeable = so can talk about anything under the sun with me!

10. Funny. MY kind of humour. Don’t give me the lame jokes, very qiam pah wan ok!

TOP 10 TURN OFF-s (no particular order)

1. Boring, stupid guys who have nothing else to talk about except school/work/daily happenings and the freaking weather, and can’t maintain an intellectually stimulating conversation with me.

2. Guys who are too mushy. GROSS… stay at least 3 arm-lengths away from me. Romantic is ok, but not mushy. Know your limits.

3. B.O. don’t even come sit within 4 seats from me!

4. Glib-talkers, bootlickers, empty flattery. Doesn’t even come close to making me feel good about myself, on the contrary, makes me wonder if you’re trying to be sarcastic.

5. Guys who aren’t gentlemanly, and that includes opening the door, helping (or at least offering) to carry heavy stuff, who don’t wait for me when we’re walking together (especially if i’m in heels… hey, if i’m wearing uncomfy shoes, it’s partly for you, so please try to appreciate…)

6. Guys who check their parting/pimples/clothes or whatever everytime they pass a mirror or shop windows. *brrrrrr… so girly*

7. Wishy-washy, undecisive males. “Hmmm, maybe i’ll have this for dinner…. or hey, maybe i should get that instead! oh it’s so high in cholesterol, get salad lah…. oh but i’m so hungry, should i go for something else… … …”

8. Smoke. It’s either me or your cigarrette. And quitting doesn’t mean stopping for only 1 week, it means stopping for at least a year.

9. Talk too much. They gabble on and on and on about THEMSELVES, THEIR CARS, THEIR BODIES and THEIR LIVES. get a life… seriously.

10. Guys who agree with everything I say. You don’t have to please me just by agreeing with me. It makes me feel that you’re kind of spineless. Plus, I think some conflict spices up the relationship. Heh.

hmmmm and i tag SANZ and WENKY (seriously, sorry guy, i can’t think of anyone who might do this if i tag them…)

AHLEONG, rach tagged u… go do yours!

one night in barcelona…

Ahleong got hungry (like always) and was craving for PANS (as usual), his face got the embossed P-A-N-S on it, and so dopey went with him to the PANS nearby to get him fed… while we were gone, LL and GL were chatting outside the hostel’s main entrance.

LL & GL: bitch bitch bitching…

Chinese nationale jogs up to them, relieved look on face: hai, zher you3 wang3 ba1 mah?

LL & GL (puzzled): huh?

GL: wan3 ba1 mah? you mean pub?

Chinese nationale: no, no…. wang3 ba1…

LL & GL: (still puzzled, what the heck wan ba?)

Chinese nationale: use the INTERNET…

LL & GL: ORHHHH!

LL: wo men bu zhi dao, yin wei wo men ye shi lu xing… no, lu ke!

~~~~~~ (ahleong and dopey return) ~~~~~~
LL & GL hurriedly and breathlessly (they were probably having stitches laughing at their pitiful mandarin) told us the entire account… when they said, wang3 ba1…
dopey: internet cafe huh?
LL, GL, ahleong: how you know?!?!?!
dopey: *smirks* my chinese not that bad wan ok!
heheheh…
Durante el viaje de vuelta, SL se encuentró a una mujer al avión cuando iba para tomar una bebida o posiblemente, para encontrar alguno de comer. La mujer se parece su sobrina y los dos estabamos platicando por una hora. No estoy segura, porque miraba el film con Keira Knightly. SL me dio un espantajo cuando de repente me preguntó “¿Ya has dormido?” Creo que grité, y los otros personas cerca de nosotros pudiera oírme bien. oops.
De toda manera, la mujer, que se llama Corrinne, quería mostrarnos sus fotos. Corrinne se quedó nueve meses en Salamanca para estudiar el idioma. ¡Tengo tanto celos de ella! Quiero hacer lo mismo también. Además de estudiar, también gastó mucho tiempo visitando muchas cuidades en España, por ejemplo Valencia, Galicia, la región Vasco, Segovia… Me gustan las fotos de la Santa Semana, que se occure cada Abril. Es un gran festival y se dura una semana. Hay muchas procesiones por las fraternidades diferentes. Cada fraternidad tiene su propria ropa y efigie. Me parece muy interesante. Quizás, puedo verlas en el futuro.
Es una lástima que me olvidé de pedir el número de telefono de Corrinne, ¿es posible que SL lo tiene? De cualquier modo, creo que Corrinee va a ser una persona que los demás del grupo Español quierán a conocer.
during the spain trip, my groupmates had to put up with a solid 18 days of mania. lucky for them i wasn’t in a down mood, i might just burst out in tears and send the guys running away in the opposite direction… hahaha… how could i anyway? it’s SPAIN you know…
anyway, now i’m paying dearly for being “too happy”, it felt soooo down and quiet the first night in Sg (no one snoring this time round, or tossing so much the bed creaked) that i just crashed, and right now i’m somewhere close to my baseline sad mode.
like one of our groupmates said, a lot of people in medicine as just baseline sad. that’s just so sad…
cheered up a bit after meeting up with M and M and one more J… saw such wonderful pictures of this old town called Bruges, near to Brussels! Mike’s pics were so fantastic, it made me wanna go to Bruges!!! should get him to send me those pics…
unfortunately MX’s cam wasn’t working very well and all his pictures look kinda misted up at the edges. too bad for him. but lucky guy’s going to Japan for a 6 month long internship! WOW! and he gets paid! how come medicine don’t have something like that huh?
and while he’s away i shall show ALL his super gross videos to everyone! WENKY YOU’RE FIRST!!! hahaha… i should start charging manz…
i was just watching ‘rumour has it’ starring kevin costner and jennifer aniston (she acts as this gal who, on the surface seems to have everything going on well for her, but is just really messed up emotionally) and i felt some kind of connection. it kinda reminded me of how i felt ********** (heh not saying), anyway, gimme physical pain over emotional pain anytime.
i figure i’ll just have to deal with this baseline high stress level and emotional ‘down-ness’ at least till i’m sure i pass the MBBS next year. i should just drown all my undefinable sorrows (i dun really know why i’m sad though i know what could make me super happy, though it’s just not something i could just get like that…) within the depths of baliga, apley, clarke and fellows…
Okie, my travel blog is DONE! And it’s on different blog server. It’s kind of slow blogging there compared to blogsome, but the pictures load real fast, thanks to flickr. Loads of pictures over there, but not as many as Xiaxue of course… but nicer than her’s. haha…
Yea, now on to do my album. The pictures from my new lumix camera turned out FANTASTIC! the resolution is soooo clear and the colours are sooo bright! lovely!
First, got to finish reading the fractures segment of my ortho book. o_o
I’m currently doing a travelogue 0n another blog. When it’s done, I’ll be emailing the url to my usual gangs and friends. Just in case I miss out anyone, or anyone’s kaypoh about Spain, drop me an email for the url.
But well, as I’m quite camera shy and so are some of my friends… I might not give you the url even if you asked for it.
HAHAHA…
I’M BACK!
Going to be pretty busy organising and putting up the photos in one of my blogs soon. Will update you all when it’s done :)
I didn’t think I would, but I’m actually feeling a little spain-sick right now. :( Or maybe I just don’t wanna go back to school. EWWWW.
