It’s rather bewildering and quite saddening, when you call up a friend whom you felt was a close friend… or perhaps someone more than just a close friend to you, and the person expresses surprise, and almost disbelief that you’d merely wanted to ‘have a chat’!

So do you mean that between friends, one needs to have some sort of agenda/activity planned out before one can call or meet up with the other person?
