Just discovered a new blog platform, courtesy of Mich, who hosts hers over there…

It looks quite neat and tidy, but I’m not very sure what kind of platform it is… Whether it’s more wordpress/blogsome type, or as user unfriendly as livejournal’s. It looks professional though. Apart from that, there’re various sections there, that I believe most medical students would find tremendously useful. They’ve got sections such as:
Question bank
Clinical skills - long and short cases, though not much up there yet
Elective guide
Forum
Scrubcasts - stuff on schizophrenia, how to manage ACS and so on… haven’t listened to any yet…
E-books - unfortunately only one is up so far, it’s on chest x-rays, and since it’s done by the site people themselves, you’ve got a small fee to pay to access it. I believe they’re going to publish the book soon.
Powerpoint presentations - some of the presentations over here are pretty good, great tables and so on.

It was a nice to discover a community of virtual living, breathing medical souls. Others out there who’re undergoing the same kind of daily grind as we are, and who’re coping well, helping each other out and so on. :D Very encouraging indeed!

All you have to do is to sign up, it won’t take you more than 5 min. :D
