I’m so glad, I didn’t watch this in the cinema, it’s hmmmm not very worth the 9.50. :D

Perhaps I’ve watched so many other better movies lately that this one pales in comparison. Hmmm, then again, it’s not quite fair to compare them, since they’re of different genres.

Recently, managed to get my hands upon X-Men 3! WOW, it rocks! The action and special effects were very fun and cool! In contrast, ‘Superman Returns’ isn’t almost as good as that. And in addition, I think none of them could act. There you had Superman (Brandon Routh) either brooding around as Clarke Kent and staring longingly at Lois, or you had him as Superman beaming around and soaking in the pure unadulterated admiration people had for him. What a conceited *****! He just had to stand around and let his chiselled looks do all the work for him. Bah! So boring… and what a wuss! He can’t even make opportunities to develop his almost non-existent friendship with Lois?!?! And then as Superman he’s like so confidently sweeping her off her feet, literally. Bah! I concur that ‘this world does not need superman’, certainly not one like this!

Then that Lois Lane (Kate Bosworth)… haiz, she can’t act too; accept for looking very distracted, sad, in denial and constant conflict all the time. And she’s got a really ugly parting. She needs some real fringe manz… I liked the part where she got flung around the airplane cabin was quite cool… made her look like a rag doll. haha… but *ouch*.

Anyway, the action scenes are quite exciting. Good enough to take your breath away. So that was the saving grace of the enire film! Hmmmm I wish I had one of those beautiful, wonderously clear quartz!!! It would make a beautiful pendant…

*thought withdrawal… damn!*

hmm…

Someone ate my thought!

Ok, my favourite scene is that scene in the yacht where Lois and her son were held captive by Lex Luthor. He’d left one tough guy to watch over them, but when her son started to play the piano with one hand, the toughie actually went over and played the accompaniment. I thought that was a very beautiful scene… It’s like how music is this universal language that communicates people in such tense situations, and between such different people…
