Over the past few days, especially the last few days, I’ve spent a greater proportion of time in the OT as compared to the wards!!! Heavens!

Haiz, not much choice, my team’s like the tiniest in the dpt, only 4 people… and one other boss who hardly shows up at round… Thus, medical students have become permanent self-retracting retractors at the OT, or flexible port holders, and suture cutters… I hate lap choles! Stood thru THREE at a gooo! At least I saw 3 different kind of livers, haha…

Today was COOOL, never saw so much pus from a gall bladder before! And also saw a pretty rare CA… alas couldn’t stay and see them try their best to fish out the stent!

Surgery’s fun only if you get to scrub in. Though scrubbing in gets painful after the first four times… nails feel onycholysed and you wonder if they’re turning yellow too. Still, I do enjoy scrubbing into OPEN surgeries as long as I don’t have the MBBS looming up ahead of me.

The problem is, the more open surgeries I see, the more this little devil called ‘I wanna do surgery’ rears up within me. But I know very well that I cannot, should not and must not do surgery. For the good of both worlds…

And can someone suggest a new tagboard for me? Tag-board.com is DOWN DOWN DOWN… while Tag-world is like down too? Is someone out there targetting tag sites? Flooble’s code doesn’t work with blogsome, so I dunno what else I can do… my poor readers will have to hold their horses and wait till a new taggie’s up before they can say what they’re dying to say! (haha, so BHB)
