Fish and Co, Manhattan Fish Market, Hooked… and what have you? Chic, affordable fish-eating places featuring hip waiters/waitresses with sporting casual uniforms with tongue-in-cheek slogans…

Funny how their deco’s all ard the same, the menu isn’t too far off from each other either! Haha… Nothing beats Fish and Co. though, especially the branch at the glass house. :) Still remember celebrating my birthday there last yr… and the cheeky Cheryl and gang went to ask the singer to dedicate something special for my birthday and then went to tell him abt my bf (now ex), and he ended up singing this cute Italian traditional love song thingy… -_- So embarrassing… Anyway, deco’s really nice :) Food too! (the bugis branch isn’t very good…)

So now for Manhattan Fish Market! Prices are almost like Fish and Co’s, but some stuff’s cheaper… like their Fish and Chips… goes for a mere 9.90. Didn’t try their chips (thankfully, cuz the fish was already fried…), their fish actually tastes nicer or around the same as Fish and Co’s. The rice was a bit weird… lumped together… but it had garlic! LOLZ… AG did not like the garlic. haha…

They were having this grilled sizzling prawn promotions… so they would flame grill those prawns rite in front of u. Pretty cool if not for the fact that it made me feel very at home… If I closed my eyes and shut my ears, and imagine it was cold like Siberia, it would almost be like the OT… The sweet smell of burning flesh (fr the diathermy) is exactly the smell produced by the flame-grilled prawns! (hah! that is a dish I would not try…) Anyway, sinful sinful… I’m sure they didn’t use virgin olive oil for frying the fish. -_-

Films galore 9:16 pm

Rating: ****

It seems like animated movies are the latest category of films expoding into the big screens. I can still remember the first few animated ones, such as Shrek, Ice Age… Then came the rest… Madagascar… The Wild???… Over the Hedge… Ice Age 2… and everything seemed to meld into a blurry of cute animals, smart-talking chipmunks and similar plots. However, Happy Feet, is quite different from the rest.

It’s got better, even more life-like animation (especially those scenes of the blizzard and the oceans…) In fact, it was all so life-like that when the humans came out, I was wondering, were those real humans or animations???

The predominant theme in this movie is ‘being different does not necessarily mean you’re inferior’. It also reminds us that even if you might be the best amongst your contemporaries, what you possess might not be something valued among other different peoples - a hefty reminder for us to be humble always. Apart from that, this film encourages us to be true to our heart’s desire. Don’t change yourself for who you’re not, just be yourself :)

Up there’s the cutest song in the entire film and one of the cutest scenes… :) Pardon the lousy, grainy clip. The digital one in cinemas is faaaaar better!

A musical melangé 1:33 am

Crystal clear voice! Tugs at your heart strings! It’s not the perfect clip I could get (just listen, nothing to watch), I have the actual mp3 song for those who’re interested!

Carry me away from this dark and lonely room
Light me in your arms - all I want to know is you
Chase away the darkness with everything you are
I will find my strength in the beat of your heart

Picture book of memories, how we used to be
Some people spend a lifetime waiting for their dreams
But I won’t find the answers by looking at the stars
I will find my strength in the beat of your heart

Time held in our hands
Will change into years gone by
If I can hold on to you
I’ll leave all my fears behind

Holding on we drift like two flowers on the sea
Riding on the waves letting go of what will be
I won’t find the answers by staring at the stars
I’ve found all my dreams in the beat of your heart
I’ve found all my dreams in the beat of your heart
