It was a nite out to celebrate 3 birthdaes… Nala’s was one of them, and guess what she wanted as her birthday present?
NUTS!, almonds and macademias especially…. so dutifully, we went and bought her a sack of nuts.
Perhaps working for the navy is driving her nuts.
She claims, ‘I see so many guys these days, I think I’m turning LES! When I see a girl, a go, OOOH!!!’
US: Eh, so many guys, got any good ones?
Nala: Either married, too young (yes, our Nala likes older men, who look like Alan Tam or the oldest-looking pilot in that Triumph in the Skies HK drama)
Sanz: Or gay, like the two cute guys at ZoukOut.
Nala: dopey, the hospital so big, why no guys huh?
Me: Aiyo, hospital? Choy! Either dead or dying…
Nala: Get one old, rich dying man?
Me: Erm, got many old, almost there, but in great debt to the hospital…
…
Later, at Alley Bar… DT orders an Angel’s Kiss, but it comes without the whipped cream. We scrutinise that miserly shot glass (watever u call that small glass thingy), then finally, they realised they’d forgotten to put the cream in. Aiyo…
DT: How am I going to down this thing? There’s too much cream!
Nala: Er, I think you’re supposed to seductively lick the cream…
US: NALA! What happened to you?! You mix too much with those officers liao lah…
…
Alley Bar: Snugly found between Rouge and this eerie looking pub with white chinese lanterns bearing red words saying ‘新加坡’, Alley Bar is a slightly more upmarket sort of bar, I feel, as evidenced by the clientele there… Very well-dressed, and quite classy… and the menu… the drinks are more expensive than the other bars I’ve been to so far. (not like I go drink a lot anyway)
Hmm, I think next time go pub muz go with my usual gang. And it’s a pre-requisite to have older, working guy friends around. HAHAHA…
