CXR - spot the abnormality!
A patient came in for elective laparoscopic kiv open cholecystectomy.
While reviewing the pre admission testing results and X rays, the team saw this:

Spot the abnormality!
This is why we should always review the XR itself rather than read the report.

1. Unfolded aorta with widened mediastinum. Consider aneurysmal dilatation.
2. There are also some calcifications in the right hypochondrium that correspond to possible gallstones, consistent with the admission for laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

1. buttons
2. body piercing
3. liver pathology - granuloma, cyst etc.
4. something in the bowel - coin, wedding ring
5. migrated surgical clip
dopey, careful. what if your boss wants to publish this image?

well… scars were there but the person in question and relatives vehemently denied any op. odd…
